Linguas OS is a FREE (both as in without charge, and as in with Liberty) GNU/Linux operating system adapted for professional translators and those working in software localization.

Even though the creators have marked this as a Distribution Release, this Virtual Machine has many issues and should not be used in production. See Build Notes below

After multiple attempts to address the issues with this os, I am publishing the VDI in hopes to assist the Lingus OS community work through the problems.

VirtualBox GuestAdditions are installed, Seamless mode does not function

Do not download this image is you are expecting thing to work without dealing with the following issues.

  • Synaptic Package Manage is unable to contact all of the repositories
  • There are no functional Web Browsers installed
  • Unable to load Firefox browser using Semantic Package Manager
